1. General description
Suez Canal Searchlight consisting of:

The searchlight is made of seawater resistant aluminium, welded and finished
with white silicon topcoat. The lamp housing consists of:
 A hardened, temperature resistant frontglass.
 A controllable split reflector of precision ground aluminium, giving either a
single light beam or two separate light beams each of 5 degrees in the
horizontal level with a dark middle sector between 0 and 10 degrees.
 A water and gas-tight drum with ventilation and safety valve.
 Two installed projector lamps, one as spare, with external switchover
arrangement in case of a burn-out.
 The used lamp type gives a luminous intensity of not less than 3x10

candle power.
 Switches, plugs, sockets and cables of first class marine type.

A Type Approval Certificate issued by ABS.
