Project Planning and Start-Up
Projecting and programming of the info terminal is ef-
fected by means of the ETS 2 from version 1.2a or the
tableau software in combination with the manufactu-
rer’s database.
The „Parameter“ command opens a software plug-in
in ETS2 where all settings are performed for the info
terminal .
The info terminal can be programmed in two ways:
• via the EIB (ETS2-commissioning),
or
• within the software plug-in via the RS 232 interface
at the back of the housing. For reasons of time and
speed, this procedure is recommended for initial
commissioning of the info terminal.
If the PC used for commissioning has only one se-
rial port, programming should be done within the
ETS2 projecting phase (start the plug-in with the
„Parameter“ command).
ETS2 limitations
The info terminal can handle such a large number of
objects and group addresses that the info terminal
cannot be copied in ETS2.
The commands „Copy project“, „Split project“ and
„Coalesce project“ which make use of this copy pro-
cess are not available. The „Reduce database“ func-
tion is not supported either.
