Mashed Potatoes

cups
water

cup
milk
2 Tbsp. butter, softened
3 cups instant potato flakes
½ tsp. salt
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
3–4 green onions, chopped
1. Set up and start the stirrer in a large pot over medium–high heat.
2. Add water, butter, salt and green onions. Bring to a boil, then set to low
and add the milk.
3. Slowly stir in the potato flakes, then add dots of the cream cheese.
4. When all is well blended, remove the stirrer and serve.
Serves 6
Easy Cheese Sauce
This easy sauce goes well with cooked macaroni (16 oz.) or a steamed head
of cauliflower. Enjoy!
¼ cup butter
black pepper, to taste
¼ cup flour
2 cups milk
½ tsp. salt
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1. Set up and start the stirrer in a medium sauce pan over medium heat to
melt the butter.
2. When the butter is melted, stir in flour, and cook for 3–5 minutes to form
a roux.
3. Add salt and pepper. Slowly add milk and cook until bubbly.
4. Slowly stir in cheese (a small amount at a time) until fully melted.
Serves 6
