Door Height Tuning
If after adjusting the fine tune settings, spreading is still inconsistent,
the ‘ideal speed’
setting can be adjusted.
Always adjust “Fine Tune” before adjusting “Ideal Speed”.
The ideal speed setting can be adjusted to suit spreading on undulating ground. Where
the spreader may be climbing steep hills at a slower speed. In these situations, the
machine may spread heavier due to product flowing through door faster than the belt is
travelling.
Adjusting the ideal speed setting down means a higher belt speed is used. This will run
the door at a lower height, restricting uncontrolled product movement.
The ‘Ideal Speed’ setting can be accessed in the Main Menu, by pressing and holding
the button and using the button to scroll to Option 10: Ideal Speed.
Press button to enter the Ideal Speed Menu.
Ideal Speed setting can also be accessed in the main standby screen by pressing and
holding
Once ideal speed is set, the speed range where the door height will remain constant will
be displayed. If the controller cannot run selected setting, IDEAL SPEED ERROR will
be displayed.
Decrease setting and retry.
Decrease setting to Zero/OFF to switch off.
