Product description
The Gildewerk Mini-Bain 1000 is
an aluminium pot with an aluminium
pourer, which you can use to heat
wax or soap according to the safe ‘au
bain maire’ method. The Gildewerk
Mini-Bain 150 is an aluminium pot
with five borosilicate beakers.
It is best to heat the Mini-Bain using
the IKP-00001 single electric hot plate.
All Mini-Bain models can be used
independently, but can also be used
in combination with other models.
If this is the case, use the IKP-00002
double hotplate.
The Mini-Bain 1000 consists of
the following components:
• Aluminium pot with condensing
ring
• 1000 ml aluminium pourer
with handle
• 5 plastic duo bowls
• 5 wooden mixing sticks
The Mini-Bain 150 consists of
the following components:
• Aluminium pot with condensing
ring with 5 compartments
• 5 borosilicate pouring/mixing
beakers 150 ml
• 5 plastic duo bowls
• 5 wooden mixing sticks
All components are individually
available except for the melting pot.
Use of the Mini-Bain 1000
First attach the handle to the pourer:
slide the chrome spacer with its small
opening and seam facing downwards.
Attach this with the screw to
the threaded tube on the pourer.
Now you can get to work:
1. Add (hot) water to the aluminium
pot until it is 2/3 full.
2. Place the pot onto an electric
hotplate set to 1.
3. qAdd wax or soap to the pourer at
a 7:1 ratio.
4. Add the necessary fragrance and
colouring.
5. Check the temperature using
a thermometer.
6. After use, pour any possible
residue into a plastic duo bowl.
Pour the water from the
aluminium pot and dry it out.
If you would like to process smaller
amounts of coloured wax, you can
combine the Mini-Bain 1000 with the
Mini-Bain 150.
Use of the Mini-Bain 150
1. Add (hot) water to the aluminium
pot until it is 2/3 full.
2. Place the pot onto an electric
hotplate set to 1.
3. Fill the beakers with wax or soap.
4. Add the necessary fragrance
and colouring.
5. After use, pour any possible
residue into a plastic duo bowl.
Pour the water from the
aluminium pot and dry it out.
Please note!
• Frequently check the water level.
Do not let the pot boil-dry.
• Never allow wax to set in
the glass beakers. Wax contracts
during the cooling process and
this places pressure on the glass
and can cause the underside
to crack.
• Do not use any other pourers
or beakers in the pot.
• After use, always remove
the water from the pot.
• Warm soap twice at the most.
