<net>
= 8 ASCII characters included between “0” and “9” without an possible decimal point. The total net or
gross weight is transmitted based on the selection set on the instrument
<chksum>
= 2 ASCII control characters calculated considering the characters included between <address>
and ETX excluded. The control value is obtained by performing the XOR operation (or exclusive) of the 8-bit
ASCII codes of the characters considered. We therefore obtain a character that is expressed in hexadecimal
with 2 digits that can take values from "0" to "9" and from "A" to "F". <chksum> is the ASCII encoding of the
two hexadecimal digits.
Decimal points are not transmitted, if the weight is negative the minus sign is placed to the left of the weight of
the most significant weight figure. In case of over-flow the string contains "O-L" instead of weight, in case of
off-range it contains "O-F" and in case of underload "U-L".

Problem
Possible cause
Solution
The display shows upper dashes
The weight in the scale cannot be
represented because it exceeds
the five available figures.
The display shows lower dashes
The weight received is not repre-
sentable because negative>-9999
The serial communication does not
work correctly
The installation was not carried out
correctly
Check the connections as de-
scribed in this manual
The selection of the serial interface
operation is incorrect
Select settings appropriately
The semiautomatic zero function
does not work
The gross weight exceeds the ac-
tion limit of the semi-automatic zero
To restore the zero it is necessary
to recalibrate the weight.
The weight does not stabilize
Wait for the weight to stabilize or
adjust the weight filter parameter
The semi-automatic tare function
does not work
The gross weight is negative or has
exceeded the maximum capacity
value
Verify the gross weight
The weight does not stabilize
Wait for the weight to stabilize or
adjust the weight filter parameter
The remote control does not work The remote control battery is low
Change the battery
Check that the dip-switches inside
the remote control are set as per
the code selected in the instrument
Change the dip-switches inside the
remote control. Check that all other
dip-switch contacts (from 5 to 10)
are ON
The distance of use is excessive
Move closer to the instrument
The remote control is not the right
one
Check that you are using the right
remote control.
