ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
1-2
POWER SUPPLY: 220-230V, 50-60 Hz
3-4
Main earth conductor and internal earth
5-8
24V DC MOTOR. The terminals 5 and 6 are connected
together as are the terminals 7 and 8.
9-18
N.C. contact of stop button.
10-18
N.C. contact of safety device with anti-entrainment/anti-
crushing frame to stop the opening motion. If the device is
intercepted during the opening phase, it stops and inverts
the motion of the gate from opening to closing for a time
of 2 seconds, then the gate locks. To reset the normal
operating cycle, the stop or emergency button must be
pressed. The above device can also be connected in series
to the stop button.
11-18
N.O. contact of button for closing control
12-18
N.O. contact of button for sequential open-stop-close
control and vice versa, or opening only.
13-18
N.C. contact of closing limit switch.
14-18
N.C. contact of opening limit switch.
15-18
N.O. contact of pedestrian opening button. The gate will
open for a predetermined time of 8 seconds, reclosing can
be automatic or controlled by the same button.
16-18
N.C. contact of the photocell safety device
17-18
Common inputs for the buttons, limit switches and safety
devices. Terminal 17 or 18 can be used indifferently.
19
Common terminal for the 24V flashlight, the 24V courtesy
light and the 24V warning light.
19-20
Output for the 24V flashlight connection (see dip switch
programming 4).
19-21
Output for the connection of a 24V courtesy light (max.
3W) with starting time adjustable with trimmer T2.
19-22
Output for 24V warning light connection.
19-25
Accessories 24 Vdc output (photocells etc.); connect the
positive to terminal 19 and the negative to terminal 25.
23-24
Terminals for the connection of the coaxial cable of the
radio-receiver-card antenna. Connect the braiding to
terminal 24 and the central wire to terminal 23.
25-26
Output for connection of the 24V buffer battery. Connect
the negative pole to terminal 25 and the positive pole to
terminal 26. The battery is not necessary for good
functioning of the gate, but intervenes only in case of power
failure.
PROGRAMMING, REGULATING AND PROTECTION DEVICES
Programming:
T 1 T 2
PRG
S2
S2 LOGIC CARD
PRG:
4-switch programmer mounted on the logic card S2, which
allows programming all the functions of the control unit.
Switch 1:
If in the OFF position, the operating logic of the unit is
manual. The button (terminal 12) executes sequential open-stop-
close. If the switch is in the ON position, the dead mans logic is
enabled: the button (terminal 12) controls opening as long as it
remains pressed.
The close-only button (terminal 11) controls closing as long as it
remains pressed. During this logic, the intervention of any safety
device stops the gate motion.
Switch 2:
If in the OFF position, manual operating logic is enabled.
The button (terminal 12) executes sequential open-stop-close and
vice versa. The close-only button (terminal 11) determines the
closing operation. The pedestrian passage button (terminal 15)
executes the opening and closing operations.
If the switch is in the ON position, automatic operating logic is
enabled. The button (terminal 12) executes opening only, closing
will be automatic or can be controlled by the close-only button
(terminal 11).
Switch 3:
Determines the motor rotation direction. Positioning the
switch in the ON or OFF position, the motor rotation and the
intervention of the limit switch can be inverted without acting on
the electrical connections.
Switch 4:
If in the OFF position, the motor starts simultaneously
with the flashlight.
If the switch is in the ON position in the closing phase, the flashlight
starts operating first and after 4 seconds the motor starts.
Regulators:
T1 TRIMMER
to regulate starting time of the courtesy light, which
will come on at the beginning of the gate opening phase. The time
is adjustable from 5 seconds to 3 minutes.
T2 TRIMMER
to regulate the pause time with the gate open (if the
automatic function is enabled). The time is adjustable from 2
seconds to 2 minutes.
T3 TRIMMER
to regulate the motor torque. Turning clockwise
increases the torque, turning anticlockwise decreases it.
Protections:
F1
F5A fuse to protect the entire power supply of 220-230V 50-60
Hz.
F2
F10A fuse to protect the low-voltage circuits (motor, accessories,
etc.).
Fotocell:
during closing stops the gate and inverts the motion.
In case the automatic function is on (dip 2 ON), if intercepted during
the pause (gate open), determines the end of the pause time and
the gate reclosed.
SIGNALLING DEVICES
LEDs for FUNCTIONAL CONTROL
L1
- yellow LED - indicates that the card is powered.
L2
- green LED - indicates that the 12V power is on.
L3
- red LED - indicates that the 5V power is on.
L4
- red LED - stop button: on when the button is not pressed
(contact closed), off when the button is pressed (contact open).
L5
- red LED - opening frame: on when the safety device is not
intercepted (contact closed); off when the device is intercepted
(contact open).
L6
- red LED - closing button: comes one when a command arrives
from the button connected to terminal 11.
L7
- red LED - sequential open-stop-close button: comes on when
a command arrives from the button connected to terminal 12 or
from the radio receiver card.
L8
- red LED - closing limit switch: on when the limit switch is
connected and not intercepted; goes off when the gate is fully closed.
L9
- red LED - opening limit switch: on when the limit switch is
connected and not intercepted; goes off when the gate is fully
opened.
L10
- red LED - pedestrian button: comes one when a command
arrives from the button connected to terminal 15.
L11
- red LED - photocell: on when the photocell is powered and
aligned (contact closed), goes off when the photocell is intercepted
or when not powered.
WARNING LIGHT
Comes on during the gate opening phase and remains on for the
full pause time (gate open), it flashes during closing and goes off
when the gate is fully closed.
S1 Radio receiver card:
if the 10 dip switches for code
programming are present, set the same sequence as set on the
transmitter. If the 10 dip switches are absent the radio receiver is
self-learning and thus the instructions at the end of this handbook
must be followed.
