5.4 Test operation
The test operation ensures after installation and battery replacement, that the pro-
duct works properly by all the audible and visual warning signals are triggered shortly.
• Press the test button to run the test mode.
The test operation ends automatically after a few seconds.
6 Inserting the battery, replacing the battery
CAUTION
Battery hazards
Rechargeable batteries are not included in delivery.

Remove leaked, deformed or corroded batteries from the pro-
duct and dispose them by appropriate protectives.

Disconnect the device from mains.
1. Carefully remove the product from the wall bracket.
2. Remove the cap on the back of the device by unclipping it.
3. Remove the empty or defective battery when replacing the battery.
4. Insert a new battery of the same type in the correct polarity into the battery com-
partment.
5. Fasten the cover cap to the product again by clipping.
6. Carefully hang the product back into its wall mount.
7. Press the Test button to check the device functions.
The LEDs light up briefly and a warning tone sounds when the device is ready for
operation.
7 Maintenance, care, storage and transport
NOTICE
Material damage, false alarm
Gases and vapors from cleaning agents can lead to false alarms.
Detergents and chemicals can damage equipment.

Use only a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.

Do not use detergents and chemicals.
►
When not in use, store the product in a cool, dry, dust-protected
place out of the reach of children.
►
Store the original packaging for transport.
►
Regularly check the product for function by means of its test
button or by qualified electric / gas specialists.
►
Remove the battery during mains operation and storage.
The product works only with rechargeable battery and is charged by the
mains
connection.
►
Check the battery voltage regularly during battery operation.
