Safety information for maintenance work on the intermittent blowdown
valve or blowdown pipes
DANGER
Severe scalding of the entire body is possible
During maintenance work on the intermittent blowdown valve or pipe, a blowdown pulse can be triggered
inadvertently.
■
Switch off the supply voltage to the TA 50 programme-controlled blowdown system and seal off the
control medium pipe before performing maintenance work.
■
Check that the system is not carrying live voltage before commencing work.
Faulty equipment is a danger to system safety.
If the TA 50 programme-controlled blowdown system does not behave as expected, it may be faulty.
■
Only replace faulty components with identical equipment from GESTRA AG.

Disposing of/returning the equipment
■
Using suitable decontamination methods, make sure the equipment and pipe are free from residues
of air or fluid.
■
Dispose of all residues in accordance with the regulations at the location of use.
■
To dismantle the equipment, proceed in reverse order to installation.
■
The equipment must be disposed of in accordance with statutory waste disposal regulations. You can
find information on the equipment material in the data sheet and on the equipment. Please notify the
contracting party before sending any returns.
■
Attach a completed and signed declaration of decontamination to the outside of the return shipment.
