Mounting and removing the blow-off valve
To install the blow-off valve in place of the sealing plug, proceed as follows.
You will require a size 30 open-ended spanner.
➢
Make sure that the valve is not under pressure.
➢
Completely unscrew the sealing plug from the body.
➢
Remove the seal.
➢
Dispose of the seal in accordance with regulations at the location of use.
➢
Remove the dirt strainer, if installed.
➢
Clean the sealing surfaces.
➢
Coat both threads with temperature-resistant lubricant, e. g. OKS 217.
➢
Insert a new seal.
➢
Insert the dirt strainer.
➢
Screw the blow-off valve into the body via the hex nut (4).
➢
Tighten the threaded joint to a torque of 75 Nm (55 ft.lb).
➢
If necessary, dispose of the removed sealing plug in accordance with regulations
at the location of use.
