8. Installation

Before Installation

Before installing your machine, read
the safety instructions at the begin-
ning of this manual. To install the ma-
chine, follow these procedures:

A

Find a suitable location for the ma-
chine.

B

Remove all the pieces of tape at-
tached to the machine.

C

Install the toner cassette. (see P.147
“Installing The Toner Cassette”.)

D

Attach the accessories and load the
paper in the paper cassette. 

E

Connect the phone line. (see P.163
“Connecting Up To The Telephone
Line”.)

F

Connect the power. (see P.164
“Connecting The Power And Switch-
ing On”.)

G

Enter all necessary information
and settings in your machine's
memory. (see P.165 “Initial Settings
& Adjustments”.)
