1.8.3. INSTALLATION OF A POUNCING TOOL
The Gerber P2C 600 cutters can also be used to pounce. First, replace the knife
with a pouncing tool and then place the special strip on top of the cutting strip.

To install the pouncing tool, proceed as follows:
•
Power up the cutter and load a piece of media (See 1.7).
•
Press the
key until “SYSTEM SETUP” is displayed on the LCD.
•
Press the
key.
•
Press the
key until “TOOL” is displayed on the LCD.
•
Press the
key. The current tool is now displayed.
•
Press the

key until “POUNCER” is displayed on the LCD.
•
Press the
key to confirm the tool change.
•
Press the
key twice to return to normal mode.
•
The cutter will now ask for the pouncing tool to be inserted into the
holder. Place the pouncing tool in the holder and then press any key
to confirm the selection.
•
Like the knife and pen pressure, the pounce pressure can also be
changed. To change the pounce pressure, follow the procedure for
changing the knife pressure as provided in section 1.8.1.
