Battery Charger
While the generator is in standby mode (when utility
source power is available), 120VAC from utility to the
transfer switch maintains the battery charger. The battery
charger wire terminates in a 4-pin connector.
1. To activate the battery charger, first make sure the
4-pin connector is connected. Then lift and release
the battery charger toggle switch.
2. If utility and standby sources are unavailable for
more than 24 hours, disconnect 4-pin connector.
3. Reconnect 4-pin connector before resuming
normal use.
Auxiliary Contacts
There is access to auxiliary contacts on the transfer
switch to operate customer accessories, remote advisory
lights, or remote annunciator devices. A suitable power
source must be connected to the COMMON (C) terminal.
The contacts shown as FACTORY in
Figure 3-2 are
connected at the factory for operating transfer switch
advisory lights. The contacts shown as auxiliary are
available for customer use.
Contact operation is shown in the following chart:
Auxiliary contacts are rated 10A at 125 or 250 volts AC.
Do not exceed the rated voltage and current of the
contacts.

Automatic start-up. Disconnect utility power and
render unit inoperable before working on unit.
Failure to do so will result in death or serious injury.
