Figure 8 shows the three possibilities
for mounting the 2029B.  On the base
of the monitor is a

" UNC threaded

hole which can accommodate a stan-
dard microphone stand.  On the rear
there is a provision for an Omni-
mount®, size 50, bracket, the hard-
ware required is 2 of M6x10mm screws.
Alternatively, the speaker can be hung
on a wall in a vertical or horizontal
position by one of the three wall hang-
ing points. For this, 4 mm diameter
screws with suitable size heads are
needed. Eight friction pads are also
provided for placing the 2029B on flat
surfaces. The larger pads can be used
on the base of a vertically mounted
2029B, and the smaller pads on the
side for horizontal mounting. There are
recesses where the pads can be stuck.
If necessary, the pads can also be
used for tilting the speaker slightly.

There are no user serviceable parts in
the unit. Maintenance or repair of the
2029B  units should be done by qual-
ified service personnel only.

Genelec 2029B has been designed in
accordance with international safety
standards. To ensure safe operation
and to maintain the instrument in safe
operating condition, the following
warnings and cautions must be ob-
served:

• Servicing and adjustment should
only be performed by qualified serv-
ice personnel.

• Do not use this product with an
unearthed mains cable as this may
compromise electrical safety.

• This equipment is capable of pro-
ducing sound pressure levels in ex-
cess of 85 dB, which may cause
permanent hearing damage.

• Free flow of air behind the loud-
speaker is necessary to maintain
sufficient cooling. Do not obstruct
airflow around the loudspeakers.

• Do not insert any objects through
the bass reflex ports on the face of
the unit, as this may damage the
electronics inside the loudspeaker.

• Do not run an analog audio sig-
nal to the digital input XLR connec-
tor. Doing so may overload your
audio equipment output and cause
them permanent damage.
