5 - INSTALLATION
PRIMING
ATTENTION: Dry operation of the pump will damage the mechanical seal.
Observe all EEC and national regulations and norms on safety.
The pump must be used in a dry and well-ventilated place with room temperature below +40 °C.
6 - MAINTENANCE
Before any operation, make sure power is not connected and there is no possibility of accidental
connections.
• No scheduled maintenance is required. Any extraordinary maintenance can be carried out exclusively
by the manufacturer or by competent personnel.
• If the pump remains off for a long time, remove all the water from the system and from the pump body
by opening the drain. Before restarting the pump make sure that the shaft is not blocked and that there
are no slags or foreign bodies in the pump body.
7 - USE
As shown in the diagram, Boy Jet 4S is normally used for filling solar heating systems.
For filling, operate as follows:
• Open the drain valve V1 and empty the system;
• Fill the tank of the Boy Jet 4S with the filling product (e.g. mixture of water and GEL TERMOL AT);
• Connect the pump Boy Jet 4S to the system (at delivery with the filling valve V2, at return with the drain
valve V1);
• Close the by-pass tap V3, open the tap V2, start the pump;
• Wait for the system to fill, until you see the liquid coming back on the return hose of the pump,
• Close valve V1, bring the system to pressure
• Close valve V2, open valve V3, keep the system in pressure for about 20-30 minutes;
• Switch off and disconnect the pump Boy Jet 4S from the system;
• If there is no leakage, use valve V1 to drain and adjust pressure up to the operating value (please see
technical data sheet of the solar system);
• Do not run the motor without the chemical
