Connecting the Audio Decoder
1. Connect the included USB Type A to Mini-USB Type B cable between the computer
and the
High Resolution USB to Analog and Digital Audio Decoder
.
2. Install the USB-to-AUD driver software. The software is required in order to oper-
ate the
High Resolution USB to Analog and Digital Audio Decoder
on a PC using the
Windows® Operating System
.

for details on installing the
software.
3. Connect an optical cable from the TOSLINK connector on the
High Resolution USB to
Analog and Digital Audio Decoder
to the audio output device.
4. Connect a pair of L/R RCA-type cables from the L/R connectors to the audio output
device.
5. Connect headphones to the 1/4” Headphone jack on the
High Resolution USB to
Analog and Digital Audio Decoder
. Use the included 1/8”-to-1/4” adapter if necessary.

Installation
NOTE:
Under normal circumstance, the USB cable supplies power
to the
High Resolution USB to Analog and Digital Audio Decoder
.
However, in some instances, the computer may not supply enough
power. In this case, a USB Y-adapter can be purchased at any local
electronics retailer.
