WARNING
Danger of fatal electric shock
The use of damaged electrical devices can lead to serious injuries or death as a
result of an electric shock.
▶ Before using, always check that the mains cable, mains plug and start button of
the electrical devices are undamaged and in perfect working order.
▶ Do not open electrical devices. Have defective mains cables or mains plugs
replaced by a qualified person.
▶ Connect electrical devices via a residual-current device.
▶ Avoid contact between the mains cable and the Geberit welding plate.
▶ Do not connect the Geberit welding plate to the power supply system until it has
been positioned and fixed on a welding machine or other support device.
▶ Do not weld wet or water-filled pipes.
▶ Never immerse the Geberit welding plate in water or other liquids.
▶ Have electrical equipment checked according to local regulations.

Risk of damage to the device from incorrect handling
▶ Insert the Geberit welding plate into the stand provided during breaks in work.
• Keep the operating instructions together with the tool.
• Follow the country-specific safety regulations.
• Do not store combustible materials within 1 m of the Geberit welding plate.
• Disconnect the mains plug during any work that is not part of the welding process.
• Only use the Geberit welding plate in well-ventilated or weather-proofed places.
• Do not inhale vapours.
• Do not leave the Geberit welding plate unattended during operation.
• Fix the Geberit welding plate to a flat, solid substructure.
• Avoid having suspended objects in the working area.
• This device may be used by children aged 8 years and up as well as persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience with and
knowledge about the device, provided that they are supervised or taught how to use the
device safely and that they understand the hazards that may result from this. Children
must not play with the device. Children must not carry out cleaning or user maintenance
without supervision (in accordance with EN 60335-1).
