IP Interfaces:
This field allows the insertion of IP interfaces for switches management. IPv4 and
IPv6 addresses are allowed. To add a new interface, click in the Add Interface button.
To delete a previously defined interface, mark the Delete checkbox and then click in
the Save button. Possible configurations are as follows.
Reason Switches allow configuring only one IP interface per VLAN.
Reason Switches allow configuring only one IP interface per IP network.
o
VLAN: define the VLAN ID of the interface;
o
DHCPv4 Enable: enable DHCPv4 IP address configuration. If
enabled, switches will operate as DHCPv4 clients and its IP and
netmask addresses will be defined by the DHCPv4 server available
at the VLAN of this interface;
o
DHCPv4 fallback: define the number of seconds to try to obtain an
IP address from the DHCPv4 server at the VLAN of this interface. If
no addresses are received, IP address used will be the IP
configured at the IPv4 Address field. Value “0” disables this field,
and allowed values are from 0 to 4,294,967,295 seconds;
o
DHCPv4 Current Lease: For interfaces with DHCPv4 enabled, this
field display the IP address obtained by the DHCPv4 server at the
VLAN of this interface;
o
IPv4 Address: define the static IP address to be used at this
interface. Values must be inserted in dotted decimal notation.
When DHCPv4 is enabled, this address will be used if the DHCPv4
server does not respond to the requests of the switch;
o
IPv4 Mask Length: define the number of bits to be used as mask to
the IP address, from the most significant bit to the lowest
significant bit. Available values are from 0 to 30;
o
DHCPv6 Enable: enable DHCPv6 IP address configuration. If
enabled, switches will operate as DHCPv6 clients and its IP address
will be defined by the DHCPv6 server available at the VLAN of this
interface;
o
DHCPv6 Rapid Commit: enable the Rapid Commit function for
defining its IPv6 address. If Rapid Commit DHCPv6 is allowed by the
DHCPv6 server, this checkbox allows the switch to finish the
waiting process when a Reply message with Rapid Commit
information is received;
