Installation Procedures
13. With the first port highlighted in the list, enter/select the following:
Enter the IP of the MAC 5000
Enter the port number
Select/verify the Raw TCP Connection radio button (see above)
Select/verify the Restore Failed Connections checkbox is checked
and the other COM Port Options checkboxes are not checked (see
figure above)

IP address and Port Number MUST MATCH the
configuration of the client bridge.

DO NOT enter anything into the Username and Password
fields. The server is the client bridge and you can’t log into it.
If you enter a Username and Password here, it will try to
login and cause the CPU to ramp up to 100% utilization.
14. Repeat step 13 for each port.
15. After information for each port has been entered, click Close.
Edit the muse.ini File
1.
Open the muse.ini file (c:\mei\muse.ini).
2.
Scroll to the following line:
;UDPMaxTotalNoWorkTimeouts
3.
Remove the ; (semi-colon) and add =2 to the end of this line:
UDPMaxTotalNoWorkTimeouts=2

Changing this timeout setting helps the communication recover
more quickly after going out of range.
4.
Save your changes to the muse.ini file.
Set Up the Modem
1.
Log into the MUSE CV system with a password that will allow you to
set up modems (System Owner or Service password required).
2.
Select System
→
System Setup
→
Select List
→
Modems.
3.
Click the Select button.
4.
Highlight a modem from the Selection... list with <No modem
defined> and click OK.
5.
Type the Station ID number in the appropriate text box.
6.
Select the ASYNCH CSI modem from the Type list.
7.
Select the associated COM port from the Port list.
8.
Select 115.2K from the Rate list.
9.
Select Input Only in the Modem Functions area.
