Removal of Packaging Tape
The safest way to remove adhesive left from packing
NOTE: The plastic tape that is not removed

soak. Wipe dry and then apply an appliance polish
to thoroughly clean and protect the surface. This
procedure is also safe for the face of microwave doors
and other plastic and Lexan parts.
Control Knobs
Control knobs can be pulled straight off the stem for
easier cleaning.
Before removing the knobs for cleaning, please note
that the knobs on the left side and the knobs on the
right side are in the proper OFF position. When
replacing the knobs, check the OFF position to insure
proper alignment.
Hint: Slip a thin cloth (such as a handkerchief) or a
piece of string under and around the knob edge and
pull up. Clean the knobs with detergent and warm
water, using a soft cloth. DO NOT scour the knobs.
To replace the knobs:
1. The knob stem has a groove in each side. The
groove on 1 side has a spring clip. The other
groove is clear (see illustration).
2. Check the inside of the knob and find the
molded rib.
3. Replace the knob by fitting the molded rib inside
the knob into the clear groove on the stem.

Wash with soap and water. Rinse with
water
and dry with a paper towel. Do not use scouring
pads or abrasive cleaners because they may
damage the finish.
Broiler Pan and Rack
After broiling, remove the broiler pan from the oven.
Remove the rack from the pan. carefully pour out the
grease in the pan into a proper container. Wash and
rinse the pan and rack in hot soapy water.
If food has burned on, sprinkle the rack while hot with
detergent and cover with wet paper towels or a
dishcloth. Burned-on foods will soak loose while the
meal is being served.
Do not store a soiled broiler pan and
:
rack in the oven.
Do not clean in the self-cleaning oven.
The broiler pan and rack may also be cleaned in
a dishwasher.
