Wire Secondary Disconnect Assembly—AKR30/30H/50/50H/30L/30S,T-50H
As mentioned above, the secondary disconnect blocks are available with all blocks installed. In this case, the
wires on the blocks will be routed through one side of the breaker and on the front. The wires on the front are
left loose for ease of landing the wires in the breaker secondary Terminal Blocks.
If the secondary disconnect blocks are installed at the customer site, the wires will not have been routed. The
wires should not be routed from the outside of the metal structure as it might interfere with the motion of the
kit when racking into the compartment. Ensure that the wires are securely fixed on the inside metal frame of
the cassette using sticky pads and tie-wraps or holes available in side frames.
Verify that the wire routing is not exerting pressure on bullets because this can bend the connection points
and effect biasing and contact pressure. By using tie-wraps and stickpads, wire routing can eliminate
sagging of the wire harness and pressure on secondary bullets.
Once the above mentioned steps are completed, begin landing the wires to the points on the secondaries,
based on the typical wiring diagrams found in
Figure 25
and
Figure 26.
