Answering system
Problem
Cause/solution
The unit does
not record new
messages.
• Make sure the answering system is on.
• The message memory may be full. Some
messages will need to be deleted.
Cannot access
the answering
system locally
through
a system
handset.
• The system may be in use by another party.
• The system is busy recording a message.
Cannot operate
the answering
system
remotely.
• You must use a touch-tone telephone for remote
access.
• Make sure you follow the remote access
procedures in this user’s guide.
General Product Care
• Avoid dropping the handset, as well as other rough treatment to the
phone.
• Clean the phone only with a dry soft cloth.
• Never use cleaning agents, paint thinner, abrasive powder, alcohol,
or other chemical products to clean the unit. Doing so will damage
the unit.
• Retain the original packaging in case you need to ship the phone at
a later date.
