1. FOREWORD
The GCE LAB 3100 marks a new concept in the supply of ultra-pure gas to the laboratory. It
offers the following advantages: great functional benefit, ease of handling, safe installation,
unambiguous operation, few components. These facts show why the LAB 3100 is so widely
used, not only in the laboratory equipment sector but also in automotive engineering, medicine,
pharmacy, chemistry, plant construction, environmental protection as well as in various branches
of science and research.
Assemble your ultra-pure gas supply yourself! You can easily change or add on the variable
components later. The following basic components can be assembled in the modular system:
pressure regulator EMD 3100, shut-off valves MVA 3100 G and MVA 3100 W, wall shut-off valve
MVA 3100 W 00 and control valve MVR-A3100.
Many fittings, such as volumeter SVM 400, flame arrester FS 400, angle adapter ZB 400, wall,
reducing and mounting adapters in various designs, spacers for adapting to different fitting
conditions, threaded joints, manometers, standards and many other parts are also available.
The LAB 3100 can thus be integrated into the laboratory equipment of all major manufacturers.
These operating instructions will help you familiarize yourself with the GCE LAB 3100. Please

This symbol indicates important information for proper procedure when using the pressure unit
and gives application tips and particularly useful information. Nonobservance of this information
can lead to malfunctions of the pressure vessel or in the environment. Application tips will help
you make optimal use of all functions on your pressure unit.
