Outgoing Pressure
Removal
1. Turn OFF all the switches on the water storage unit and unplug the unit.
2.
Turn the feed water going to the unit off.
3. The “Outgoing Pressure” gauge should read zero or slowly drop to zero.
4.
Some water will remain in the lines and will come out when filters are removed so it is recommended that a towel or mop is
near by for clean up. Do not let water get on the storage tank control panel if mounted above it.
5.
Starting with the carbon filter, turn the filter housing 1/4 of a turn to the left and then pull down ( 1 & 2 ). Filters are held tight
into the filter head so some downward force might be needed to pull it out.
6.
Next remove the sediment filter in the same manner as the carbon filter.
7. If not replacing the membrane skip to step 12.
8. When removing the membrane, the drain line will release water. Use a container to catch any water that comes out of the drain.
9.
To replace the membrane you will need to remove the drain fitting on the bottom of the membrane. To accomplish that
push
the collet ( 5 ) down flush with the fitting. While the collet is depressed, pull the elbow ( 6 ) out of the fitting.
10.
Remove the membrane in the same manner as the carbon and sediment pre-filters.
11.
Discard all filters in waste receptacle.
Installation
NOTE:
To aid in filter install, apply pressure to the top of one hand and insert the filter with the other.
1.
Remove blue cap on new filter and line up notches on filter to match placement on head. Push up snugly on filter while
holding the top of the processing unit. Turn the filter to the right to lock ( 3 & 4 ). Repeat for all other filters you are installing.
2.
If membranes were replaced, reinstall the drain fittings by pushing the elbow into the membrane fitting.
3. Turn the feed water going to the unit on.
4. Plug in the unit and turn ON all the switches on the processing unit.
Gauge removal is now complete.
5. Clean the unit and the surrounding area of any water that might have spilled.
6. Verify that there are no leaks. Filter change is now complete.
7. Check your outgoing TDS levels to maintain proper calibration level. If not within desired range, calibrate the TDS controller.
Follow the guide in the formulation tank for detailed instructions on preforming the task.
