Machine Reset Procedure
Perform this procedure whenever an emergency stop
button or kick cable is activated or when the power to
the machine is turned on.
1. Make sure all emergency stop buttons and kick
cables are reset.
2. Press the main machine reset button above the
power switch on the back of the machine. See Fig-
ure 1-4: Machine Reset Button.
3. Check the web force settings to make sure they are
what you require.
4. Turn the heater back on. It is necessary to restart
the heater as all power is turned off when an emer-
gency stop button or kick cable is activated.
5. Lock the shafts by closing the doors of the machine
and pressing either the shaft locking switch or the
FWD or REV arrow.
6. Start the motor and increase the speed.

Note
If the display does not have a decimal point in it, the
machine needs to be reset.

Despite the safety features built into the ORCA-IV,
extreme caution must be used when operating or ser-
vicing the unit. READ THE FOLLOWING WARN-
INGS AND CAUTIONS BEFORE ATTEMPTING
TO OPERATE OR SERVICE THE ORCA-IV
IMAGE TRANSFER LAMINATOR.

Kick Cable
Reset Button
Secure long hair so that it cannot get caught in
the machinery. Do not wear ties, loose fitting
clothing or dangling jewelry while cleaning or
servicing the image transfer laminator. These
items can get caught in the nip and choke you or
you can be crushed or burned.
Use a lift to load and unload rolls larger than 50
yards. They can weigh up to 500 lbs and can
crush you.
