4 | Installation
4.1 | Preparation
Place the vehicle securely on its stand and make sure that there is sufficient lighting
to see what you are doing.
4.2 | Removal
Remove any existing bar-end mirrors or bar ends. Check that the handlebar has freely
accessible, open ends with an inner diameter of at least 13.5 mm.
4.3 | Installation
Choose the rubber bushing (2, 3 or 4) which best suits the inside diameter of your
handlebar. There are rubber bushings with diameters of 12 mm, 14 mm and 18 mm
to choose from. Insert one countersunk bolt (7) into each bar end (5). Fit a rubber
bushing (2, 3, 4) over the countersunk bolt (7) and screw on a flanged hex nut. Tighten
the hex nut (1) so that you are still able to push the rubber bushing into the handlebar
tube. Then insert the bar end into the handlebar tube and position the bar end so
that the small hole on its circumference is pointing downwards. Then tighten the
countersunk bolt (7) firmly with a hex key (size 4). Repeat these steps on the other
end of the handlebar.
Move the handlebar control or the bar end slightly if the throttle twistgrip is impeded.
Once you have aligned everything perfectly and tightened the countersunk bolt (7)
firmly, press the cap (8) into the bar end (5) and position it. Now use the setscrew (6)
to secure the cap (8) to the bar end using a hex key (size 1.5).
