Powering Up the System
•
Press the ON/OFF switch on the front panel, and the green LED on
the front panel will illuminate ON.
•
If you turn off your system, wait at least ten seconds before turning
the system back on.
•
The system self-checks the memory even if a monitor is not
connected. If a monitor is connected and powered on, the screen
will display the power-up sequence.
•
If more than one CPU is installed, the system will display which
CPU it is currently testing.
•
If any errors are encountered, your system will display them on the
monitor.
•
If a monitor is not connected or the system is unable to display an
error, an error beep code will sound.
If the system encounters an error, it will most likely be a nonfatal one,
meaning, the system will function until the error can be corrected (usually
through the BIOS Setup). In the rare case of a fatal error, contact your
Technical Support field service support.
