USE
1. Prepare the vegetables. Root vegetables
must be cut into uniform pieces and, if
necessary, sautéed for 2-3 minutes in a
frying pan. Place the vegetables in the bot-
tom of the ceramic bowl.
2. Prepare the meat. Remove any visible fat
from the meat and, if necessary, brown the
meat in a frying pan to seal in the juices.
Place the meat on top of the vegetables in
the ceramic bowl.
3. If required, add water, bouillon, stock,
sauce or another liquid. Do not fill the
ceramic bowl more than around 5 cm from
the top.
4. Press the Menu button (10) to select if
you want to cook the food on Low, High
or Keep Warm. The associated indicator
for the display (6) comes on and the ap-
pliance runs for the standard time for the
selected function.
5. Press the +/- buttons (7, 8) to increase or
reduce the cooking time.
For most dishes containing meat and veg-
etables, use the following cooking times.
Low, 8-10 hours
High, 4-6 hours
6. Press the Keep Warm button (9) once
the food is ready. The food is kept warm
without any additional cooking until it is
served.
The ceramic bowl can be placed on a
table mat and used to serve the food from.
Remember to use oven gloves!
CLEANING
When cleaning the appliance, you should pay
attention to the following:
• Unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
• Do not immerse the appliance, cord or
plug in water and make sure no water
enters the appliance.
• Allow the glass lid and ceramic bowl to
cool before cleaning the parts with water!

If necessary, fill the ceramic bowl with hot
water and a little washing-up liquid and al-
low to stand for a few hours to remove any
burnt-on food residue.
• Wipe the outside of the appliance with a
well-wrung cloth. Never use a scouring
pad, steel wool or any form of strong sol-
vents or abrasive cleaning agents to clean
the appliance, as those may damage the
outside surfaces of the appliance.
