P (Puls function)
Short, powerful pulse movements; crushing ice. The
rotary switch springs back to the “0” setting. You
need to hold it as long as the motor shall agitate.
PROCESSING SOLID FOOD
IMPORTANT -
The appliance is NOT suited for grinding dry food. Always add
some liquid, before processing solid ingredients.
• Before processing via the appliance, cut solid ingredients into small pieces (2 - 3 cm).
For puréeing solid ingredients, divide your food to smaller portions. Otherwise, the
results may be very uneven. Use the pulse function first for cutting solid food to smal-
ler pieces. Then, let the motor operate continuously for some seconds.
• If required, intermediately remove the jar from the motor base and push the ingre-
dients down from the inner walls of the jar.
• For mixing solid ingredients into liquids, start with the solid types of food and a
small amount of liquid. For adding portions of liquid gradually through the cen-
tral opening in the lid, shortly stop operation for each portion. Close the opening
in the lid via the measuring cup, before starting operation again.
• When the filling in the jar does not stop splashing vigorously after some seconds,
use pulse operation at least until the liquid is mixed in. Then try continuous ope-
ration again for various seconds.
USING THE PULSE FUNCTION
The pulse function is particularly useful, for puréeing solid food, and when the mixture
gets too thick with the motor running noticeably slowly. If accepted by your recipe,
add a sufficient portion of liquid. This method should be used in general, for stirring
solid food or very thick and glutinous liquid ingredients. Otherwise overheating of
the motor may occur.
