The Easy Solution
The kettle is placed on
the power base and
plugged in, but the
display is dark.
If no button has been
pressed for 30 minutes,
the kettle will switch
OFF completely to save
energy.
Simply press a button to reactivate the display.
The appliance is live, but
the water is not heated.
The overheat protection
system has been trig-
gered.
The kettle has been operated without water or with too
little water. Empty the kettle and leave it cool down for at
least 30 minutes. Thereafter, fill the kettle with at least
0.5 litres of cold water and try again.
Too much scale is covering the heating elements,
causing overheating. De-scale the kettle (see: ‘De-
scaling the Kettle’).
Water accumulates under
the power base or runs
down on the exterior of
the kettle.
There is too much water
in the kettle.
Immediately unplug the appliance. Then wipe dry the
appliance completely. Always observe the MAX filling
level when filling (1.7 litres).
You spilled some water
when filling or moving
the kettle.
Immediately unplug the appliance. Then wipe dry
completely. Ensure not to spill water on the exterior
of the kettle during filling. Always ensure to hold the
kettle level when it is filled.
The kettle is leaking.
Immediately unplug the appliance and wipe dry the
appliance completely. Then check the kettle for
leakage (fill up and leave stand over night). Do not
use the appliance, if the kettle is leaking.
You cannot change the
set temperature.
There is no way to chan-
ge the current settings
with a heating cycle run-
ning (ON/OFF button is
illuminated in red).
Press the ON/OFF button to cancel the running hea-
ting cycle (ON/OFF button gets dark). Then try again.
The appliance goes back
to standby mode, imme-
diately after starting a
heating cycle.
The actual water tempe-
rature is above or equal
to the set temperature.
For starting a heating cycle, the actual water tempera-
ture must be at least 5°C below the set temperature.
Raise the set temperature or wait until the appliance
cooled down. Then try again.
