BEFORE FIRST USE
WARNING:
DO NOT let young children play with the appliance, or any
part of it, or the packaging!
The blades of the cutting assembly are very sharp.
Do not touch the blades. Ensure that your power supply is rated as indicated on
the model label of the appliance (see: ‘Important Safeguards for Electrical Appli-
ances’). Always unplug the motor unit before cleaning it and when it is not in use.
Do not place or immerse the motor unit or power cord in water or other liquids
or spill any liquids on the motor unit or power cord.
Do not use any abrasive
cleaners for cleaning to avoid damage to the surfaces.
Do not place the motor
unit or power cord in an automatic dishwasher.
1. Unpack the appliance and all accessories carefully.
2. Check that no parts are damaged or missing (see: ‘Knowing Your New DESIGN
MINI CHOPPER PLUS’).
3. Carefully remove all shipping materials, stickers, and promotional materials.
However, DO NOT remove the model label.
4. Before first use and after a longer period of storage, clean the glass contai-
ner, lid and cutting assembly in warm dishwater (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’).
However, do not touch the blades of the cutting assembly.
5. Wipe the exterior of the motor unit and power cord with a damp cloth, and dry
the appliance and all parts thoroughly.
OPERATION
WARNING - RISK OF INJURIES:
Always ensure that the appliance and all
its parts and accessories are
out of reach of young children
. The appliance is inten-
ded for cutting and blending food. For this, the appliance is using sharp blades in
high speed rotation. Thus, improper use or misuse may cause severe injuries and
damage. Do not touch the coupling of the motor unit or poke with any objects in the
coupling, with the appliance connected to the power supply. Always unplug the
appliance, before cleaning the appliance, and when the appliance is not in use.
Do not leave the motor unit unattended while connected to the power supply.
Check the entire appliance for proper operation before connecting it to the power
supply. If liquids or foam escape between motor unit and lid, immediately unplug the
appliance (see: ‘Solving Problems’).
DO NOT use the appliance if the glass con-
tainer is broken or cracked in any way to avoid severe injuries due to splinters
getting into your food.
Handle the glass container with care to avoid damage to
the glass container. Do not fill hot food into the glass container to avoid damage.
Always let your food reach room temperature before processing.
