SOLVING PROBLEMS

If any problems occur during operation, you will find solutions in this section.

Problem

Reason

The Solution

Appliance doesn't turn on

and the motor doesn’t start

AND

the blade assembly doesn’t rotate.

The appliance is not live.

Ensure that the appliance is

connected to a sufficient power

supply (see: ›Important Safeguards

for Electrical Appliances‹).

Test the power outlet by connecting

a lamp.

The safety interlock is active,

because the blade assembly or the

jar is not installed correctly.

The blade assembly must be screwed

correctly onto the jar and may not

be misaligned. Insert the tabs of the

jar in the slits on the motor base and

press down the jar.

See: ›Processing Your Food‹.

The blade assembly is blocked.

Remove the jar from the motor base

and take out the obstacles. Chop in

short pulses.

See: ›Processing Your Food‹.

The thermal safety switch is active.

Remove the jar. Then unplug and

leave the appliance cool down for

approx. 30 minutes. Thereafter, try

again.

There is a severe problem.

Unplug the appliance and call your

customer service for support.

See: ›Information and Service‹.

Lid or blade assembly will not pro-

perly align to the jar.

You did not align the threads of

the jar and lid or blade assembly

properly.

With the thread tilted when screwed

on, the jar will be leaking. Install lid

or blade assembly according to the

instructions in section ›Preparation‹.

Food is too finely chopped or too

watery.

The food has been over processed.

The »Design Micro Blender« needs

only a few seconds for achieving

best results. Try short pulses.

The results are insufficient.

Ingredients cling to the inner walls

of the jar.

Remove the jar and stir the

ingredients. Thereafter, operate in

short intervals (pulse operation) for

even blending and chopping.

Especially for frozen ingredients,

pulse in short intervals of 2-5

seconds.
