Blender Function
WARNING: Do not hold your hands or any foreign
objects (e.g. cooking utensils) in the glass jar, when the
appliance is connected to the power supply. During the
heating process, always ensure that the Blender control
dial is switched to the Off position!
Do not blend for more than 3 minutes to avoid overheating. This is the maximum running
time for the motor. If the motor stalls, turn the blender function Off immediately, press the
power button
and unplug the appliance.
Carefully remove a portion of the food. Then try again. Cut large pieces of food to cubes
(ca. 1-2 cm) before inserting into the glass jar.
Note:
For safety, the blender function is blocked when the heater function is active.
However, the heater function can be switched off manually at any time to operate the
Blender function. (See: „Heating Function“ and „Temperature Control“)
Blend your foods until you get the desired consistency. The Blender is working very effec-
tively. Thus, selecting speed 1 or 2 will be sufficient in most cases.
For preparing hot
soups do not exceed speed 2.
However, speed 1 is sufficient in most cases. For
cold crunchy food, a higher speed selection may be useful. During heating you can use
the Mix function (Mix button, see: „Mix Function“).
Using the Blender:
4. For using the blender function simply turn the Blender control dial to the required speed
selection (1 to 4). The motor is running continuously until you switch back to Off.
5. After a maximum of 3 minutes switch back to Off.
Additionally, you can use the pulse function. To do so, simply turn the Blender control
dial in short intervals to “Pulse”. This is best, if you wish to prepare
crunchy soups.
Note:
The COOK & MIX can be used as a standard blender to
blend cold ingredients and crush ice.
Timer Function
When the COOK & MIX is switched on (power indicator is illuminated continuously), the
cooking time can be adjusted. Simply press a Time button (“+” or “–”) to activate the dis-
play.
Note:
Adjusting the timer is required for using the heating function. There is no need to
adjust the timer, if you wish to use the mix or blender function only.
• If the “–” button is pressed first, the maximum cooking time (30 minutes) will be dis-
played. When a cooking time is already shown on the display, the cooking time will be
decreased in steps of 1 minute.
• The “+” button will increase the cooking time in steps of 1 minute. With the maximum
cooking time on the display, the Timer will switch back to zero.
