Before switching ON the appliance, always ensure that the grill plates are properly in place
on the bearing plates, and will not tilt or wobble, even if the grill plates are not in use. Do not
use any hard or sharp-edged objects on the raclette dishes or grill plates, to avoid damage to
the non-stick coatings.
1. Fill the requested ingredients with a sufficient amount of liquid (water, oil or bouillon) in the
fondue pot up to the maximum capacity of 1 Litre. When preparing fondue with oil or oily
sauces, fill in up to a maximum of 500 ml. Do not overfill the fondue pot, to avoid overflowing.
Defrost frozen ingredients before cooking. Dab wet foods before cooking.
2. Put on the lid. This will save energy and the contents of the fondue pot will heat up faster.
3. Place the fondue pot in the opening in the middle of the raclette. Only use the supplied fon-
due pot with the Design Raclette-Fondue-Set. Do not use the fondue pot with any other heating
device (e.g. range).
4. Turn the FONDUE heating control dial to the desired position.
To reach high temperatures (e.g. boiling water or heating oil or fat) as fast as possible, we
recommend using the maximum setting (“+” position) for both heating control dials. After the
desired temperature has been reached, turn off the RACLETTE heating control dial (regulating
the heating elements of the grill plates) and turn the FONDUE heating control dial to the desired
position.
For heating dishes that are sensitive to heat (e.g. cheese or chocolate) only use the FONDUE
heating control dial.
CAUTION:
When lifting off the lid of the fondue pot, beware of hot condensate that could
drip from the lid and cause scalds. Additionally, the condensate could splash, when dripping
on the hot grill plates.
5. As soon as the desired temperature is reached, lift off the lid and start preparing your foods.
It is the best to use the supplied fondue forks.
Keep in mind that the supplied fondue
forks are pointed.
Grilling
WARNING:
The grill plates will be very hot during operation and even some time after ope-
ration.
DO NOT touch the grill plates with hands or arms or any heat-sensitive
objects.
Additionally, especially on placing food on the preheated grill plates, hot fat and
juices could splash from the appliance. Always keep your hands and arms as well as any other
objects in sufficient distance to the appliance during operation to avoid scalds and damage.
Ensure that all persons present maintain sufficient distance to the appliance during operation.
Do not cut, prick or scratch foods on the grill plates. Always remove the foods from the grill
plates before cutting. Only use cooking utensils made of heat-resistant plastic or wood.
The
supplied fondue forks are not suited for use on the grill plates!
Do not handle the
appliance or any part of it with violence.
The grill plates are non-stick coated and slightly vaulted, to ensure the optimal draining of fat.
This is an almost smokeless and very healthy way of cooking.
1. Ensure that the grill plates are placed properly on the bearing plate, the ribbed side facing
upwards. The grill plates must not tilt or wobble.
2. Before placing food on the grill plates, set the RACLETTE heating control dial to the maximum
position (“+”) and pre-heat the grill plates for about 10 minutes.
