Turning Off the KEEP WARM Mode

If you wish to turn off your kettle in the keep warm mode, simply press the KEEP WARM
button or lift the kettle off its power base.

NOTE:

If you remove the kettle from the power base in the KEEP WARM mode, your kettle

will automatically switch off. To ensure the KEEP WARM feature remains engaged, press the
KEEP WARM button and select the desired temperature again after returning the kettle to the base.

Important:

We recommend turning the kettle off by pressing the KEEP WARM button

before removing the kettle from the power base.

Care and Cleaning

WARNING!

Always switch OFF, unplug and let the appliance cool down before removing

the mesh filter, moving the power base or cleaning the appliance.

Immediately wipe off condensate or spilled water.

Do not spill any liquids on the

exterior of the appliance, the power base or the power cable. Do not
immerse the kettle base, switch area, power base or power cord in water
to avoid risk of electric shock.

Always keep the table or counter clean and dry and

immediately wipe off spilled liquids or condensate.

Do not place the appliance or any part of it in an automatic dishwasher.

CAUTION!

To avoid damage, do not use any chemicals, disinfectants, steel wool, abrasive

cleaners or hard or sharp utensils to clean the appliance. Handle with care.

1. Wipe the outside of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots
using a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent. Polish with a soft, dry cloth. In the same
way, the power base may be cleaned. Make sure not to spill or drip any liquids on the
power base.

2. Dry with a soft dry cloth. Polish the stainless steel parts with a soft cloth, when required.
If you used the kettle solely for heating up drinking water, there is no need to clean the interior
of the kettle. Before first use or after a longer period of storage rinse the interior of the
kettle with clear drinking water.

3. Otherwise, put the kettle on a stable surface and pour in some hot mild liquid detergent.

4. Carefully clean the inner side walls, and the heating plate at the bottom, using a soft nylon
brush without violence. Soak stubborn stains for some minutes before brushing it off.

5. Thoroughly rinse the interior of the kettle with pure drinking water.
Depending on the hardness of your water supply and how often you use the kettle, a
limescale deposit may form. This reduces the kettle’s working life and heating capacity and,
therefore, increases power consumption. Limescale is not harmful to your health but may
give your beverages an unpleasant appearance or taste. For normal household use we rec-
ommend to descale at least once every 2–3 months. It is advised to descale your kettle as
much as possible, as it prolongs the life and performance of your kettle.
