5) Hook the upper tie-rod (G, Fig. 18/1) between seeder and ro-
tating harrow, by adjusting the length (L) according to the rear
roller utilized (
Table 4
):
6) Lift completely the equipment and take away the support
props.
ATTENZIONE
It is absolutely forbidden the circulation on public roads
with support props applied in parking position.
7) Lower the lift and place the combined equipment in an opera-
ting position. Check that all the sowing parts oscillate freely,
including the drive wheels and the seed-covering harrow.

Check that the combined equipment (seed drill & rotating
harrow) is perpendicular to the ground (Fig. 18/2).
During the work, regularly check that the equipment is
perpendicular.
9) Switch the tractor off and keep it still, remove the key and lay the
equipment to the ground. Now, correctly connect the hydraulic
pipes to the valves on the tractor following the marking on each
pipe.
4.1.4 UNHITCHING THE PLANTING UNIT FROM THE EQUIPMENT

Unhooking the seed drill from the tractor is a very dangerous operation. This operation should be carried out with the tractor
engine switched off, the parking brake on and the equipment resting on the ground. Great caution must be used and the whole
operation must be carried out following the instructions.
The seed drill is best disconnected on a level surface and in the
farm centre.
1) Disconnect all the hydraulic and electric connections involved
(Fig. 19).
2) With the machine raised, insert the props to ensure the stability
of the seed drill and remove the safety pins (E1, Fig. 14).
3) Slowly lower the equipment.
4) Release the upper tie rod exclusively when the equipment is
at on the ground (G in Fig. 18/1).
5) Only now can the tractor and rotating harrow move away.
