7 System Operation

7.1 Measurement Reqiurements

INFORMATION!

Only use the original accessories supplied with the device.

INFORMATION!

Make sure that the gas quality is 5.0 (99,999%) or better.

INFORMATION!

Only use stainless steel pressure reducer.

INFORMATION!

Make sure that the spectrum is clean a without contamination.

WARNING!

Do not introduce any liquids. This can destroy the device.

INFORMATION!

Make sure that that all temperature-, flow- and pressure values have
reached their default value and are stabilized.

7.2 Measurement Program

The BreathSpec will

by default

be equipped with a general measurement program

called

‘BREATH’

. This program may need to be subject for method optimization

see

BreathSpec User Manual

. Please be aware that editing the program may require

changes in the timeline of sampling in order to sample the exhaled breath.
The following workflows describe the analysis of human breath exemplarily using the
‘BREATH’ program.
