markings on the left and right chain adjusters

position relative to the reference marks

The top chain section must be taut.
Chain wear is not always even. Repeat this measurement at
different chain positions.

Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 50)

Shift the transmission into neutral.

Check the chain, rear sprocket, and engine sprocket for wear.
» If the chain, rear sprocket or engine sprocket is worn:
–
Change the drivetrain kit.
Info
The engine sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain
should always be replaced together.
