(15) The CREW PROFILE DATA CLEARED message is shown then followed by the 'DO YOU WANT
TO UPDATE SYSTEM FILES' prompt.
(a)
Push the NO softkey.
(b)
Push the NO softkey if the UPDATE CUSTOM GRAPHIC FILES message appears.
(c)
Make sure that the SYSTEM STATUS page is shown on the MFD.

Push the NO softkey.
(b)
Make sure that the SYSTEM STATUS page is shown on the MFD. (Refer to Figure 503)

This indicates the software load to the MFD is complete.
(17) Remove the software loader card from the MFD.
(18) Insert the base software loader card in the L PFD top SD card slot.
(19) Set the L PFD to the configuration mode as follows:
(a)
Push and hold the right most softkey (No.12) and engage the L PFD circuit breaker.
(b)
When the L PFD initializes and shows the 'INITIALIZING SYSTEM' message, release the
softkey.
(20) When prompted 'DO YOU WANT TO UPDATE SYSTEM FILES', push the YES softkey to load
the GDU software.
(a)
If asked to 'UPDATE CUSTOM GRAPHIC FILES', push the NO softkey to continue.
(21) When the GDU software load is complete the 'NEW SOFTWARE HAS BEEN LOADED
RESTARTING UNIT' message is shown.
NOTE:
The right most softkey (No.12) must be held during the restart if loading a software
version prior to 3.2.
(22) The CREW PROFILE DATA CLEARED message is shown then followed by the 'DO YOU WANT
TO UPDATE SYSTEM FILES' prompt.
(a)
Push the NO softkey.
(b)
Push the NO softkey if the UPDATE CUSTOM GRAPHIC FILES message appears.
(23) Keep the SD loader card in the L PFD top slot.

Base Software/Configuration Load Procedures
A.
Do the Baseline Software/Configuration Installation (Refer to Figure 504 and Figure 505).
NOTE:
CMC maintenance logs must be cleared as described in this section prior to loading aircraft
base software/configuration.
(1)
Make sure that the system files update procedures are complete before you upload software.
Refer to Update System Files procedures.
(2)
Make sure that the G3000 Avionics System is in software configuration mode. If not, put
the G3000 Avionics System into software configuration mode.
Refer to Software Loading
(3)
Make sure the configuration mode display screens are shown on the GDUs.
(4)
Make sure that the G3000 components circuit breakers are engaged.
(5)
Make sure that the SD loader card is in the PFD 1 top slot for the entire software loading
procedure.
(6)
On the GTC 1, select MFD in the GDU CONTROLS button section of the page.
(7)
On the GTC 1, push the right inner knob.
(a)
The MFD cursor is activated.
(8)
On the GTC 1, turn the right inner knob to select the MAINTENANCE LOG page.
(9)
Push the CLEAR softkey on the MFD.
(a)
The "Erase entire Maintenance Log?' prompt shows. (Refer to Figure 504)
(b)
Push the Enter button on GTC 1.
(c)
Wait until the 'Clearing Log' message no longer shows before you continue the procedures.
(10) On the GTC 1, select PFD1 in the GDU CONTROLS button section of the page.
(11) On the GTC 1, push the right inner knob.
(a)
The PFD cursor is activated.
