Receiving XM Signals
Weather
If your aera came with a GXM 40
antenna, you can access XM WX weather
information. You must have purchased and
activated an XM subscription, and your aera
must be connected to a GXM 40 antenna and
be receiving XM satellite signals to receive
weather information. XM is not available
on all aera models. See page iv for a list of
which models are XM compatible.
NOTE
: XM is only available in North
America.
Touch Tools > Weather . The weather
forecast for your current location appears.
Map— view current weather conditions on
the map.
Other City— view weather information for
another location. A list of cities appears in
ascending order by distance.
3-Day— view an extended forecast for your
current location.
Viewing Weather on the Map
Touch Tools > Weather > Map .
Options— select the type of weather
conditions to show on the map.

Weather raD ar) shows precipitation
from very light rain and snow to strong
thunderstorms.
Satellite Mosaic —shows cloud cover but
not precipitation.
Storm Cells —shows current storm cells
and their projected paths.
