2.4.1 DRIVING THE GARIA LSV AND MONACO
• Each driver must carry a valid driver’s license.
• Keep entire body inside vehicle at all times. Remain fully seated and hold on to
handles or other objects while driving.
• The vehicle is equipped with seat belts. Always keep seat belts fastened when-
ever seated.
• Follow all traffic regulations and obey all rules and regulations.
• Do not start vehicle until all passengers are fully seated and fastened.
• Do not carry children on laps or in children’s seats, the vehicle is not constructed
for transporting children requiring a child safety seat.
• Do not allow anyone to hang onto the vehicle at any time.
• The driver must keep both hands on the steering wheel and the eyes focused in
the direction in which the vehicle is driving.
• Show extra caution in populated areas or when reversing. Always reverse slowly
and pay attention to the road and surroundings.
• The vehicle might not be as visible in the night time as it is during the day. Always
make sure to turn on the headlamps and tail lights whenever operating from dusk
to dawn.
• Avoid accelerating or decelerating in an abrupt manner.
• Always adjust the speed to the terrain where the vehicle is currently used.
• Drive slowly when making turns and when going up or down slopes. Never turn
steering wheel sharply at higher speeds to reduce the risk of the vehicle tipping
over or to prevent possible injury to an unsuspecting passenger.
• Never drive up or down slopes at an angle, use brakes to reduce speed when
driving downhill.
The Garia LSV and the Garia Monaco can cause serious injury or damage if used im-
properly or not maintained according to the vehicle’s maintenance program. Before the
vehicle is used, all necessary safety precautions must be taken and all the additional
instructions of the area where the vehicle is used must be observed.
The Garia LSV and the Garia Monaco should be safe to use as long as the safety pre-
cautions explained in the user’s manuals and on the vehicle are upheld. Make sure that
you always drive according to the current conditions and adjust the speed and driving
pattern according to the terrain in which the vehicle is moving.
It is expected that many Garia LSV / Garia Monaco vehicles will be used for a vari-
ety of tasks beyond the original intended use. As a consequence of this, it is impos-
sible to anticipate and warn against every possible combination of circumstances that
may occur. No warnings can take the place of good common sense and prudent driving
practices.
