Leak detector Vakumatik IVF R34
9. Instructions for use
9.1.
General advice
During evacuation, starting up and operation, harmful gases may leak from the
interstitial space via the pump's outlet (exhaust) opening. Do not inhale, ensure
sufficient ventilation.
Proper monitoring of the system and/or the tank requires proper installation, starting up and
regular functional tests as well as leak detector checks.
The operating frequency and operating duration of the integrated pump to compensate for
minor leaks conforms with the volume of the interstitial space and the leak tightness of the
overall leak detection system. In general: The larger the tank and thus the volume of the
interstitial space, the lower the operating frequency of the pump, however correspondingly
longer operating duration. A continuously increasing operating frequency suggests increasing
leaks inside the leak detection system. If the pump operates increasingly longer or even
continuously, the reason may be decreasing pump performance. In both cases, an inspection
of the leak detection system is recommended.
The green power lamp (1.3) remains on as soon as voltage is applied to the leak detector (1).
An optimally maintained and leak-tight leak detection system reduces operating costs to a
minimum.
9.2.
Maintenance
- The user must regularly check the functionality of the power lamp "Green" (1.3), as well as
the fill level of the condensate vessels (10).
- A qualified person must perform an annual functional check as specified in Section 8.2.
- Condensate or the stored medium may be present in the condensate vessel (10). When
emptying the tank, appropriate security measures must be taken. The condensate must be
disposed off properly.
