Checking the saw and package contents
1. Remove the saw from the packaging.
2. Check whether the saw or the individual parts show signs of damage. If this is the
case, do not use the saw. Contact the manufacturer at the service address speci-
fied on the warranty card.
3. Check to make sure that the delivery is complete (see
Fig. A
).
Charging the battery
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Failure to properly charge the rechargeable battery may damage the recharge-
able battery, the charger and the saw.
− Charge the rechargeable battery at an ambient temperature
between 0 °C and 45 °C. The ideal temperature for charging the recharge-
able battery is approx. 23 °C.
− Charge the rechargeable battery if the rechargeable battery charge level
indicator shows that the rechargeable battery power is low.
The rechargeable battery
9
is only pre-charged to a low level. You must charge the
rechargeable battery before using it for the first time. To do so, proceed as follows:
1. Slide the rechargeable battery into the charger
11
until it audibly locks into place
(see
Fig. G
).
2. Connect the mains plug with a properly installed socket. The charge indicator will
glow red during the charging process. The charge level indicator will turn green
once the rechargeable battery is fully charged (after approx. one hour with an ini-
tial battery charge level of 20 %).
3. Pull the mains plug out of the socket once the rechargeable battery has been fully
charged.
4. Push the battery release button and pull the rechargeable battery out of the
charger.
5. Allow the rechargeable battery to cool off.
6. Slide the rechargeable battery into the holder in the drill/driver until you hear the
locking mechanism engage (see
Fig. D
).
The rechargeable battery has been charged and inserted. You can now use the saw.
