3. Replace the fuel cap (16) taking care NOT to cross thread the cap on the
fuel tank (15). Tighten the cap firmly in a clockwise direction.
4. When starting the engine ensure it is at least 10m away from the area
where the fuel tank (15) has been filled up in order to avoid any risk of fire.
• Always use extreme care when handling fuel! Fuel is highly flammable.
• Never attempt to fuel the product if the fuel system components are
damaged or are leaking.
• Never attempt to refuel the engine while it is running or still warm, allow it
to cool before fuelling.
• Never smoke or light any fires near the product or fuels.
• Always transport and store fuels in an approved container.
• Never place flammable material close to the engine muffler.
• Never operate the product without a properly functioning muffler and
spark plug cover installed.
• Never operate the product unless it is properly assembled and in good
working condition.
• Do not use fuel which contains ethanol or methanol as it may damage the
fuel lines and other engine parts. Use fresh unleaded fuel.
• Do NOT use 2 stroke oil or mix the fuel and oil. This is a 4 stroke unit that
requires 4 stroke oil to be filled in the oil reservoir, and fresh unleaded fuel
to the fuel tank.
Starting the Hedge Trimmer - Starting A Cold Engine
WARNING:
Ensure the blade cover (21) is removed before attempting to
start the hedge trimmer.
WARNING:
Ensure the engine has been filled with 80mL of SAE 10W/30
BEFORE starting, and 450ml of fresh unleaded fuel has been added to the
fuel tank. Do not use ethanol based fuels.
Do NOT mix oil with fuel. Oil must be separately poured into the oil
reservoir (17).
