25cc 4 Stroke Petrol Hedge Trimmer
Assembly
This hedge trimmer does not require any pre-
assembly before use, however, as this is a 4 stroke
hedge trimmer, prior to starting the engine, 80mL
of SAE 10W/30 4 stroke oil MUST be added to the
oil reservoir (17), and 450ml of fresh unleaded fuel
(Do not use ethanol based fuels) must be filled in
the fuel tank. Failure to add sufficient 4 stroke oil/
fresh unleaded fuel will result in damage to the
engine which is NOT covered under the warranty
of the hedge trimmer.
Removing / Replacing the Blade Covers
1. To remove the blade covers (21), securely hold
the blade cover and slide it off the end of the
blades (Fig. A). Repeat for the other blade cover.
2. To replace the blade cover (21), align the cover
over the first 2 blade teeth, and then slide the
blade cover (21) fully onto the blades (1) (Fig. B).
Adding and Checking the oil
IMPORTANT:
The motor of this Hedge Trimmer is packed with NO
OIL in the motor. Prior to starting the engine, oil MUST be added to the oil
reservoir (17). Failure to add sufficient oil will result in damage to the engine
which is NOT covered under the warranty of the unit.
NOTE:
This is a 4 stroke Hedge Trimmer. The engine sump MUST be filled
with 80mL of SAE 10W/30 BEFORE starting. Fresh unleaded fuel must be
used in this unit. Do not use ethanol based fuels.
Do NOT mix oil with fuel. Oil must be separately poured into the sump of
the engine as follows, and also the oil level MUST be checked every time the
Hedge Trimmer is used.
NEVER
attempt to remove the oil dipstick (17) while the engine is running.
ENSURE the motor is not running when the oil level is being checked.
On a new unit, the motor needs to be filled with 80mL of SAE 10W/30
engine oil. Do Not over fill.
