IV. TROUBLESHOOTING
The pressure
cooker is not
working
– Check the power cord, plug and el. socket.
Indicators are off
– Make sure the cooker is on.
– Check the space between the cooking pot and the heating unit.
This space must be free from impurities.
– Check the cooking pot is placed in the cooker.
A large amount of
steam is escaping
along the pot edge
– Check the lid is closed.
– There are food remains on the gasket. Clean it up.
Water is
overflowing during
cooking
– Before cooking, make sure that there is not too much water in the
pot.
– Make sure that the lid is positioned properly.
Cooked rice,
vegetables are too
dry, undercooked
– Check that there is a sufficient amount of water before cooking.
– Add ¼ of a cup of water after cooking and switch to the “warming”
mode for 10 minutes.
– Check the space between the cooking pot and the heating unit.
This space must be free from impurities.
– Stir the rice before completion (rice will not get stuck together or
become hard on the surface).
Cooked rice or
vegetables are
watery
– Before cooking, make sure that you did not add too much water
– Make sure that the entire cooking cycle was uninterrupted. In
case of a power cut, rice might not be unevenly cooked.
The pressure
cooker is emitting
an unpleasant
odour
– Check and if necessary clean the contact surfaces of the cooking
pot and the heating plate.
