IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION
Recharging the batteries Switch the energizer off. Place in direct sunlight for
3 days (make sure the batteries are connected) OR
remove the batteries from the energizer and charge
the batteries for 24 hours with a 12 V 1.2 A battery
charger in a sheltered, well-ventilated area.
Storing the energizer
Switch the energizer off. Store in a well lit,
sheltered, well-ventilated area so solar panel keeps
batteries charged. Recharge batteries before and
after storage.
Maintenance free
batteries
The batteries must not be opened and do not
require maintenance.
Battery replacement
BOTH BATTERIES MUST BE REPLACED TOGETHER
using 2 x 12V sealed, valve regulated rechargeable
batteries.
Recommended batteries:
Panasonic LC-RN127R2, Panasonic LC-R127R2, CSB
HITACHI EVX1272, YUASA REW45-12 or equivalent.
Do not use the energizer with non-rechargeable
batteries.
Removing the batteries
Switch the energizer off before removing the
batteries.
Disposing the energizer
The batteries must be removed from the energizer
before the energizer is disposed.
Disposing of the
batteries
All lead acid batteries must be disposed of safely
according to local regulations. Use suitable
protective clothing and containers for any leaking
batteries.
