Description
Physical Description
The IDR1000A, when used in conjunction with a dc remote adapter located at the radio site, provides
remote dispatch and station control. For maximum range, the RF equipment is often located at a distant
radio tower, tall building or hilltop location apart from the location where radio calls originate and are
received. The desk set uses private leased telephone lines, or customer-owned metallic pairs that are
capable of supporting dc control currents. The unit can be placed on a flat surface or wall-mounted. All
connections are made inside the unit. The desk set is powered by a 10.5 to 16 V dc power source.
