Appliance door opened frequently.
Do not open the door unnecessarily.
Large quantities of fresh food placed
in the appliance.
Switch on FAST COOLING/FAST
FREEZING function.
The ventilation openings are covered.
Remove obstacles and dirt.
The temperature in the freezer
compartment is too cold.
Temperature has been set too low.
Set a warmer temperature
(see “Setting the temperature”).
The appliance becomes slightly louder
for a brief period.
Not a fault!
Your appliance is designed to save energy. Under certain conditions
(e.g. activation of the FAST COOLING/FAST FREEZING function) the appliance must
work harder for a brief period and therefore becomes slightly louder.
The interior light does not function.
The bulb is defective.
Change the bulb
(see “Changing the bulb”).
The light switch is sticking.
Check whether it can be moved.
The appliance is giving off odors.
Strong-smelling foods have not been
packed in airtight containers.
Clean the appliance. Pack strong-smelling
foods in airtight containers (see “Odors”).

Water filter must be changed.

Wrong water pressure.
Check water pressure. The water
pressure must be between 25 and
120 p.s.i. (1.72–8.25 bar).
A wrong water valve has been installed.
Self-tapping valves and

and may eventually block the pipe.
