Installation & operation
Placement
Install the UPS in a protected area that is free of
excessive dust and has adequate air flow. Please
place the UPS far from other units at least 20 cm to
avoid interference. DO NOT operate the UPS when
temperature and/or humidity are outside the specific
limits (please check technical specifications).
Charging
Plug in the AC input cord to the wall outlet. For the best results it is
suggested to charge battery at least 6 hours before first use. The UPS
charges its battery while connecting to the utility.
Equipment connection
Plug in the loads to output receptacles on the rear panel of the UPS. Simply turn on the power switch of UPS
unit, then the connected devices will be protected by UPS unit.
Network connection (phone/modem)
In order to protect a network connection, please connect a network cable from the wall jack outlet to the IN jack
of the UPS. Then connect a network cable from the OUT jack of the UPS to the network device.
Communication port connection
It is possible to connect the UPS to a personal computer through the USB communication port, using the
supplied cable.
ViewPower is an UPS management software that allows users to control and monitor UPS straightly from PC
monitor. Insert ViewPower software CD or download ViewPower software from website address
http://www.power-software-download.com, then follow on-screen instructions to complete software installation.
Once the computer has restarted, ViewPower will boot up as a plug-in and will appear as an orange icon in the
taskbar, in the lower right corner.
Switching On/Off
To turn on the UPS, press the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds (LED indicator will light up). To turn off the UPS,
please press again the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds (LED indicator will light off).
Cold Start function
In case of extended power failure it’s possible to start the
UPS directly by batteries, supplying connected devices
for some minutes.
Trouble-shooting
Use the table below to solve minor problems. If any abnormal situations occur that are not listed above, please
call service technician for assistance.
